Where the time stops ticking..

This is the flock of karakachan sheeps of Semperviva breed center. And Georgi - the shepherd and my teacher. The number of the sheeps is around 350 plus one donkey. In Bulgaria it is a tradition to have a donkey with the flock because of the wolves.

Bulgaria is still one of the natural places in the world, where wolves, bears, predators lives free and people fight with them in natural way - using shepherd dogs. That`s way is really important to safe breeds, because this is thousands years selection of abilities to protect territories, animals and morals.

I am proud that we still have flocks here in our mountains.. My grandparents were shepherds, too. Noone can escape from the blood in his/her veins. :)
