    Hi Zac,
here I hesitated a long time to write a comment, now I see that Marius allready wrote about what troubled me too in this picture (and a little bit more). Maybe I had chosen to get the scene on edge...

Actually Marius, I definitely agree with what you are talking about. Unfortunately it is halfway up a mountain over half a nation away from me, so no experimentation any time soon! (its in the Adirondack mountains in upstate New York, I did some climbing there this summer) Thanks for your thoughts though, I like the advice!

    Zac,

Man, I want to say all kinds of good things about this shot, but I feel like you could have done so much better.. here is my opinion (just an opinion nothing more!)

The large rock right in front of the shot occupies way to much of the image space.. to fix this, I would simply move. I would have made my main focus the 2 top larger falls and played arround with the composition there... the large rock in front of us needs to go.

Second, water flows from north to south, up to down.. and so the fact that we are looking at sideways water is disturbing. The image needs to be rotated clockwise about 10 degrees.

Third, try a different exposure.. hold that shutter open just a bit longer, about 1.5 - 2 seconds if you can and rais your aperture value.. This could be a realy cool shot with a bit more experimentation. I only wish I hade a water fall like this to shot near my home!

Thanks and please understan that I am not being mean, I jsut think that you have a potentialy very cool shot..

Also try b/w print, and some work in Photoshop. i bet you will be very happy with your work.
