This was evening reward after waiting a whole day for better weather in a refuge... - better weather for climbing not for taking a photo :)
Believe it or not it was really like this (just cropped)...

Absolutly beautiful. The evening sun colors the rough rock in a fantastic golden light. And the small hut is a welcomed view for the late walker.Best regards, Manuel

For me it would have been a worthy reward for waiting a whole day. You are quite the hiker to get this high.A spectacular scene, it must have been awesome to have witnessed it. Good exposure and perfect comp.

What a beautiful glow and late light on the characteristic mountain (must be in the Julian Alps because of the elevation). The shining colour of the Limestone even makes the light here brighterBest wishes, Peter
