An early spring breeze drifts gently through a broken kitchen window where a rock came in. Though now abandoned and vandalized, it is easy to imagine an earlier time when this house was a home, with mother washing dishes while she watched her children playing in the yard. Perhaps oddly, a dish rag and soap remain behind as if the absence were only temporary.
