Under Ray's Watchful Eye...

...or Dang, those pine needles are sure making my nose itch!

Westway Terminal Company has a group of huge storage tanks on the West Channel of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
The tanks store molasses, and if the wind is right, one may suddenly find himself craving a stack of pancakes.

But this is Baltimore, a city that loves its sports heroes, present and past. And the Under Armour Company, whose campus is in the former Procter and Gamble soap manufacturing complex, just across from these tanks at Tide Point, wanted to honor some of Baltimore’s admired sports figures.

And that is how those towering tanks took on a special cachet, with huge images of baseball icon
Cal Ripken, Junior, Olympic swimmer Mark Phelps, and, in this case, Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.

Of course, another thought came to mind as I worked this one up. Just how might
this scene have looked before everyone's hand was seemingly grafted to a smart phone?

The photograph is part of a growing portfolio of "Tide Point Moments." (*)

excellent integration of the photograph-like painting on the tank and the cell phone scene
on the bench ... a big brother-like scene and mood, a well composed image and great in this range of black and white tones !!!
    best wishes for your weekend,
    Adele

Great composition! The guy on the wall looks so real, as he looks through the pine trees. But to the people on the bench the latest message on the smart phone seems to be more interesting than the sports icon.
    Kind regards,
    Sabine
