Through the looking glass

I had fun with this one, with an original image of rusted metal, modified in paintshop, then layered with model (artified with additional layers, etc.) with both integrated. Please let me know if it works?

This compostion resembles stained glass and mosaic,giving it a wonderful texture with jewel color.I am new to the site,and your work is very clever,and thought provoking.

look at that texture... wow. i want to reach out and touch it. great contrasts between the smoothness of the face/halo and the detailed tactile relief that surrounds it. it's like stone with a leaf-vein pattern. all very interesting elements that invite closer inspection. in other words, yup, it works... : ))
