the resumption point exalts all the scene of the snow with the fire to the horizon. Beautiful. Ciao Guglielmo.

I like it, rule of thirds or not, and I don't see anything wrong with saying "I like it."
    Aloha

    Darinka,

Love the way you have tried something different with the composition, You have thrown out the rule of thirds placed the horizon in the middle and also the tree as the subject. I like it and tried in one of my shots , good to break the rules now and again .

No Dave, but I just thought, that its better to give Darinka some advice how to improve this shot. I know its not picture for the gallery, but if we just keep writing "nice" comments what would be the reason for this photoserver?
I hope you didn't take my comment personaly? :-)

Dave, what exactly is so briliant about this composition?

...very nice lightning, but I would suggest to use classic tree composition and I would also cut this picture a bit from the top because the horizont is too close to the centre. more interesting ofreground detail could be handy as well. :-)
    good effort overall.
    Cheers, R.

Lovely light and foreground! I would have maybe used the rule of thirds with the tree...but that could be just me. Beautiful picture anyway!
