    Every animal as a sentient being is born with dignity. By conditioning their behaviour to behave in ways that titillates humans or to mimic human characteristics we rob them of their diginity and their right to be what they are. Whether we capture whales and keep them in too small pools so they can perform tricks for our entertainment, or make lions jump through flaming hoops or make our dogs beg for treats.

    This a is a very beautiful image of a very powerful and beautiful animal that has been debased by having its dignity taken from it. I find it hard to know whether to celebrate and marvel at its magnificence or cry with sadness to witness that human beings have brought it so low.
