The Wetland complex of Delta Axios river is one of the most important and impressive ecosystems in Greece.It constitues a vast system of river banks, marshes, dunes,lagoons and salt flats thus creating an ideal biotope for many species of wild animals and birds. More than 300 spieces of birds take refuge in the coastal forest of the river many of which are threatened with extinction, such as the avocet, the glossy ibis, the pigmy comorant, the Dalmatian pelecan and the blackheaded seagull. Really an ideal place for "static, well balanced and "take your time photography"using tripod, variety of long lenses and well controlled exposures.
