The Cheakamus River in Brackendale
on New Year's Day
Brackendale - just a few km's from Squamish - is the Winter home for the Bald Eagle. In 1994 4000 eagles (yes, 4000) were counted, ... sadly, they have been declining steadily over the years. We saw just a few although about 50 were seen by the voluntary "counters" that day.
