Hi Jamie,thanks for your welcome to FC,
my opinion about black & white depends on my past.....I allways loved - or should I say admired - colours and just "could" do my first pictures in black & white for many years. I allways thought, without colours you miss a lot of expressions. May be the only reason is I never had a teacher for learning how to use black & white.

The colours really make this photo also.
What you said about black & white..................It is maybee the colour for greif, but also black and white can turn out stunning in some portraits also floral.
But we all have diffrent opinions.
And there is nothing better that pure bright colour !
