Sunset over Mt. Everest, Nepal

I was standing atop Gokyo Ri when the last rays of the setting sun coloured three of the highest mointains blood-red: from left, Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Makalu.
Ektachrome 100, scanned by Kodak (Photo-CD), NO tripod (weight), leaning against a large rock, camera resting on my knees and against my forehead, exposure 1/2sec at f 4.0, Nikon FM2 with 35mm lens.

Your mountains may be comparatively short, but they are superlatively more beautiful.
