Side - Antique

Thank you so much for your proposal CsomorLászló!

Side is a resort on the Turkish Riviera. The city lies between the cities of Antalya and Alanya, Manavgat district,
belonging to the Turkish province of Antalya. Side has a long history of about 3500 years.
In ancient times it was a major port city in Pamphylia region, as this place on the central coast has been called in ancient times.
Away from the tourist area there are many ancient treasures, which are sadly neglected by the local government.
That even gives a certain charm to this picture though.

    nice documentation.
What is the "key" of this picture? One part of the ruine or the ruine itself? The light? the contrasts? The door i nthe center?

    Regards

For sure it's a pity when ancient remains go unattended and thus wilderness conquers them, but as the author well states, it is exactly this what gives the site its charm.
Love the way the doorways frame the Nature behind them.
    A pro for me.
    Best regards,
    Susana
