Of Course this means war!

I was busy photographing a completely different scene at the pond when I suddenly heard this racket behind me. Two coots started fighting and then suddenly all the Coot in the pond rushed to this spot. Apparently they can't jest let a good fight go, they had to join in :-)

: )) i bet they'd bet! ; ) coots are notorious gamblers, i am told… ; ) so maybe they put all their money on either one of them… great action shooting here, deryck! very dynamic, and i love the subtle, harmonious colors! greetings, sabine. p.s.: my dictionary tells me that, informally, we call "a foolish or eccentric person, typically an old man" a COOT! could have been inspired by their rowdy behavior… ; ))

I have seen them do just that Deryck... fiesty little devils when they get going.
An excellent capture of these two having a bundle in... and just look at those claws, they could really inflict some damage.......
