It' s the second name of Marakkesch...1 Million inhabitants...
Marakkesch: a place full of contrasts...
Marokko: a warm country full of magnific history, full of sad reality...but also full of LIVE and FRIENDLY PEOPLE ...
Tourists living in wonderful hotels (riads) of the medina (old town) sorrounded by people who sleep in the road or live in the ruins of the medina..
Souks (markets) full of colours, of parfums, of europeans who deal on the prize of an already cheap souvenir WHILE an old woman or man sitting on the ground out of the shop would be happy if she/he could get some bread...
Marokko - as a woman travelling alone - was a wonderful but sometimes also shocking experience... I`ll try to report it with some pics.... Cheers, Valeria
