Kilauea 6
In this and the next two fotos, you can see the plume of gases exiting the vent in Halemaumau. The yellow haze on the right is vog, the volcanic origin gases that contain high concentrations of sulfur. These gases are heavier than air, so they separate themselves from the water vapor.
