Grímsvötn
2010 we boocked a flight to Ireland to see the country and the puffins, but we could not fly.... the reason was Eyjafjallajökull. Next year we thought we fly to Iceland to see the country and the puffins. This time we could fly..... but sh... happens on our first day Grímsvötn erupted.
2010 haben wir einen Flug nach Irland gebucht um das Land und die Papageientaucher zu sehen. Doch wir konnten nicht fliegen, der Grund war Eyjafjallajökull. Nächtes Jahr haben wir gedacht fliegen wir gleich nach Island um Papageientaucher und das Land zu sehen. Aber Pech gehabt, gleich am ersten Urlaubstag ist Grímsvötn hoch gegangen.

In 2010 we had only just arrived home from the USA when Eyjafjallajökull erupted...........I am so pleased that you made it to Iceland, a wonderful place and so different.

Eine sehr stimmungsvolle Landschaft mit einem faszinierenden Naturereignis, so etwas zu sehen ist ja ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis. Und die Papageientaucher.. also noch einmal einen Grund haben um dort hin zu fliegen.Herrlich mit den Farben und dem dynamischen Himmel!
