Greater Spotted Woodpecker
This male is one of 3 woodpeckers, 2 males and 1 female that visit my garden on a daily basis and sometimes all three are feeding at the same time at various feeding spots I have in my garden, and this male is unusally feeding like this, as the wire cage I normaly fill with suet cake was empty at the time, which normally is hanging on this tree behind the woodpecker. Unfortunately these woodpeckers will not feed together and can get quite offensive towards one another.
