A River Runs Thru It
Taken inside Zion National Park in a place called the Narrows, Utah, USA. Cannot say enough about this incredible place. This is the kind of place you could go every single day and always come back with stunning images. For this shot, what first attracted my eye was the contrast between the green trees and the canyon walls. Nature's color palette at it's best. To get the right angle I had to be knee deep in the cold water with my camera firmly attached to my tripod. The hardest part was not to get any drops of water splashing in my lens.

I love this place more than anything, and am so sad that I didnt have a good camera or the knowledge of photography that I have now when I was there.But congradulations to your great shot. You deserved this gallery star.

Hey, a debate about the FG... IMHO the boulder at the bottom gives a solid base to the composition and the blue area forms a good "resting point" for the eye, as opposed to the rest of the image, which has a lot more detail. To me that's a strong point in this picture. I like it that way.Greetings, Robert
