En el sitio de las Mesas de Villaverde (Ardales-Málaga), en la fortaleza de Bobastro se constituyó el auténtico nido de águilas del caudillo mozárabe Umar Ibn Hafsun (s.IX) quien capitaneó la revuelta que mantuvo en jaque largos años al emirato.
