There are quite a few rather large snail species in South Africa. We saw this on in the Lowveld. It was about the size of my fist and apparently not fully grown yet.
Snail Gel contains secretions from the snail Helix Aspersa Muller. Snail handlers noticed how quickly minor cuts healed without infections or scars, as well as the unusual softness of their hands. In this secretion is allantion that helps regenerate the snail's shell and skin when it is injured and it does the same thing for human skin. It is also a great solution for adult and teen acne. People with sensitive skin, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tones have had excellent results using Snail Gel to leave skin soft healthy and soothed.
Another fine shot! Your informations are great! Mother nature has a lot of things to heal for us!
I have never seen a snail in this size you described.
: ))))) let's wait for the first celebrity brave enough to walk down a red carpet with 5 or 6 snails stuck to her head and cleavage – so much healthier (and a lot more social, too! ; )) than plastic surgery or the paralyzing side effects of botox!! ; )) what a great creature indeed! and beautiful, too! love the elegant, slender shape of its house! but fist size?! wow, that's big!! a great eye-opening shot for me, deryck! greetings, sabine. p.s.: i guess there's always two sides of the medal: did you know this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyba7XqMZyA
