The Fungi World (234) : Wood Blewit

When the nights are getting colder and colder with the first frost temperatures, then the Wood Blewit starts to grow.

It’s a fairly distinctive and attractive fungus with gorgeous shades of purple lilac to violet brown.

Dutch name : Paarse schijnridderzwam
German name : Violetter Rötelritterling
Latin name : Clitocybe nuda (previous Lepista nuda)

This is my last fungus shot of the 2013 autumn, which was a good fungi season :-))
I hope you all enjoyed the pictures of the fascinating fungi world as much as I did when I found and shot them all.
