Yellow Stagshorn is a greasy and slimy fungus with a tough, gelatinous texture.
Very typical are its antler-like yellow branches mostly forked near the tops.
It’s a very small species.
The specimen in the shot is about 1cm high.
Dutch name : Kleverig Koraalzwammetje
German name : Klebriger Hörnling
Latin name : Calocera viscosa
small but very bright and expressive looking! if this shot was in section "underwater", i'd mistake it for a coral living on a rocky reef! beautiful capture of this "fungal drama queen"! ; ) lg, sabine.
Indeed looking like antlers - and even if greasy and slimy they look great with this bright vivid yellow - a fine macro capture, Mark !!!
