Doggy Walk #1

A daily turn is my walk with our dog "Leila". With her 13 years she has her special way of life. Preparing for a walk - like here - she gets crazy on her way out. If it rains, we're back in 2 minutes....

So here is - perhaps a daily - diary, something for dog lovers or those just enjoying some shots of mine.

i took a look at "leila" and read your lines about taking pictures beloved pets. food for thought… this image of leila sure has "distance", as we see her from a bird's-eye or rather leash-holder's view. but for me the picture encapsulates the cluster of intimate emotions pets set free in their owners. it's a shot about "what having a dog feels like", rather than a shot about the dog itself, which i think is great! love is all around her: it's in the softness of the seemingly flaxen hair cascading down her back and in in the star shape (*) of the composition (leash, dog, window and door frames) of which she is the center. at the same time you succeed in giving us just a hint of an idea of the dog's personality, and of her feelings at the moment of portrayal: the anticipation, the never-fading passion for the great outdoors expressed in the decided pose of the head and how it merges with the light, and in the whoosh of her wagging tail… greetings, sabine.

clever shot from your leash-holding perspective - and I like the blurriness ... and yes, we too had dogs - salukis who had 15 abd 17 years with us - miss them still !!
