My first really serious attempt at landscape photography.
This very famous tree on a an island in a small lochan (lochan na h-achlaise) on Rannoch Moor, could be the most photographed tree in Scotland. I was delighted to find the water frozen over (it was -7 degrees) and everything white with frost when I arrived before sunrise. This shot was taken at 'first light' and shows the snow topped Black Mount in the background.
