With over a century of existence, the Bica lift is the most typical of Lisbon andi it`s today one of the main attractions of the Portuguese capital.

Due to its enormous historical and cultural importance, the elevator was classified as a National Monument in February 2002

The Lift is owned by Carris de Ferro de Lisboa, and establishes the link between the Calhariz Largo in Bairro Alto and St. Paul Street, facing one of the steepest slopes of the city
