    there are several possibilities besides of that ... :-)

    i would suggest to use an editing software (photoshop, paint shop or even the freeware gimp) on the photos. besides of that you can resize them that way, that they come up with a quite good quality ... ;-))

    there are several photolab which offer also to have the files from your film on cd ... if that is possible, you could have them with the prints on cd ... :-)

    oh, you are absolutely right - this is such shirt quality of scanner that I have used and its glass ;-) you see I make photos with canon film camera....so the scanner it's the only way to post photos here....

    Your focal plane is a wee bit short, hence the fuzzy hook. It also looks like it was scanned from a poor print or your scanner glass needs cleaning, there are visible horizontal steps and a vertical line in the middle of the hook space. I do however like the composition, and think a tweak or too to increase the contrast and saturation may help this image.
