Yesterday Anlie and I went out early to try and catch some sunrise pictures. Unfortunately the clouds were too thick to catch much of the sun, but we stuck around in the cold morning to catch some of the beautiful reflections over the Vaal River.
The Vaal River is the main supply of water to the heavily populated and industrious Johannesburg, Pretoria and Vaal Triangle areas where we live
The vastness is very impressive. The reflection are gorgeous. what a great mood. The compostion is good and the processing is spot on.
Well done. i love this one.
another great one.
i think this one is even more spectacular than one with a gorgeous sunrise with the sun it.

wow!!! this is so beautiful! i think i've never seen such calm water before! amazing that it's a river – you'd expect a current, expect the river to flow… needless to say, the reflections are gorgeous ; )); what i like best about this shot, though, is that amazing "pull" of the clouds: in the sky everything seems to be drawn towards the horizon, whereas in the water it feels as though the "surge of clouds" is pushed towards us viewers, who seem to be right there in the boat/on shore (?) with you! greetings, sabine.
