Preah Vihear 01
Preah Vihear is for the Cambodian people something like a symbol for there Khmer identitiy. Until now there are small battles between the Thai and Cambodian armies, sometimes with victims, because the temple is situated direchty at the border to Thailand and could be reached only from the Thai side. Now the Cambodian built a military street up Preah Vihear and it´s possible to get there as a tourist. But sometimes it´s still al little bit dangerous.

Hi Matthias, ich freue mich so sehr über die schönen Fotos, die Du hier über diese grandiose Tempelanlage setzt. Für jeden Besucher ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Meine Frau und ich konnten es einmal im Jahr 2000 von Thailändischer Seite aus betreten.Der Angkor Tempel ist Kambodschanisches Kulturerbe und das sollte von Thailand immer und uneingeschränkt respektiert werden!
