Another shot in my series from Singapore. I visited a tortoise park at the Chinese Gardens. The tortoises did not fascinate me much for photographic purposes, since they were held in very small cages. I would rather just see them in the wild, but these little Chinese statues were very beautiful to me

These little buddhas are cute. Specially those two on the left side with their mouth open. Unfortunately also the chinese people are held in "very small cages". I hope they once will look happy too.

They must be Seven Dwarfs of Snow White. Only there are Eight Dwarfs in Chinese version and no Snow White but Two Dragons:) Anyway.. I can see some similarities, can't you?:) Hugs, Viola

: )))))) like günter, i like the one to the very left best! he seems to be inviting us to join their little congregation of buddhas! so cute, how they've apparently "settled" on those stairsteps, ready to greet the visitors and distract them from the caged turtles ; ))! wait, aren't they even framed by two turtles/tortoises with lion heads? great shot, as always, deryck! great light- and shadowplay on their bald little heads, too – it enhances the liveliness of the picture and the illusion they actually seem to be talking among each other and gesticulating to us… greetings, sabine.
