i liked the colored juxtaposition already, but this is even better, i think! the "kindred-soul theme", the reaching out across centuries, social backgrounds, philosphies etc., "via" one single emotion they share – passionate grief – is even more prominent in this b/w version! it's as though the madonna's "story" was written in ink ages ago, and a splotch of that ink "spilled" into the soul (and face ; )) of "inez", making her feelings of sorrow live on in her – a shared lament! hugs, sabine. p.s. love how the hair eyebrows and eyelashes look!
