: ))) and quite a pleased one!! the little bird of prey – even though he will still have to grow into his pompous and awe-inspiring name ; )) –, appears to be very happy with what his baby eagle (?) eyes spot on the ground down below – maybe it's one of his parents who's just caught a fish for supper – yum!! soon he'll leave his comfy aerie to become a great hunter himself. but for now he's perfectly content to enjoy the view: a new world bird looking down on a new world! ; ))) greetings, sabine. p.s.: love how his ruffled chick feathers correspond with the pine needles surrounding him! ; )

I suppose, it´s a not yet bald eagle, isn´it.
Even as a chick an impressive bird!

I love the expression on the face of this curious bird, with the head just popping above the branches to see what is going on. A great shot.
best wishes from Lawson.

Bei Euch sind sie spät dran (Ende Juni), wie ich sehe.
Bei uns hier in FL sah das diesen Januar so aus wie auf Deinem Foto und seit Mitte Februar fliegen sie schon.
LG Bernhard
