This is the "White Plume Moth". This butterfly is a moth of the family Pterophoroidea and it is found in Europe.
The wingspan is 24-35 mm. The moths fly from June to August.
The translation of the title would be in German "Federgeist"!
The German name "Schlehen-Federgeistchen"
actually says that regarding the food sector
that sloes are playing an important part of this sort of moth,
but this is refuted in the meantime.


Das "Schlehen-Federgeistchen" ist eine Art aus der Familie der Federmotten (Pterophoridae),welche in fast ganz Europa vorkommt.
Die Flügelspannweite beträgt 24-35 mm. Die Flugzeit ist von Juni bis August.

Der deutsche Name

"Schlehen-Federgeistchen"

sagt eigentlich aus,

dass Schlehen bezüglich der Nahrungsaufnahme dieser Mottenart eine wichtige Rolle spielen, was aber inzwischen widerlegt wurde.
