Dandelion seed with a single drop of water placed very carefully in the centre of the umbrella.Black velvet background. Erm....Just to see if I could really........
You did a fantastic job with this Gary! :-))))
That is a micro of elegance.....wow
Tell me...how long did the whole project take to complete?
I am soooo impressed! :-)
Greetings,
Dianna
Hi Dianna- It was one of those photos that could have taken a very long time indeed! Balancing a water drop on the seed was tricky and you soon realise how relatively heavy the water drop is as the seed kept toppling over! Hence the black velvet- not only does it give a nice, non-reflective black background but it also aids the support of the seed, helping to keep it upright. Sometimes I like to do a straight forward shot without resorting to PS! Bracketing exposure proved pretty essential to get the exposure right. All in all no more than an hour (with cups of tea!) Cheers, Gary

This is eye catching, clever, brilliant and, I guess, took a lot of patience to set up. Just simply beautiful and brilliant.
