this image was taken near one of my favourite waterfalls at Redisher Woods, near Bury, Lancashire.
these icicles are formed by the constant splashing from the waterfall and freezing on the branches of tree debris closeby.
i always visit after cold nights to see these wonderful displays.

Wonderful glimmering light reflections in the crystal clear ice. Interesting shapes the frozen water is building around the twigs. Nearly look like reindeer antlers. Easy association in this time of the year...:-)
