Karpathos is a biggish island in south Aegean Sea with beautiful shores belonging to Dodekanese site.Life is mainly concentrated in the southest part of the island leaving the central and north part in a kind of virginal state and virtually cut from the rest with only a primitive road, eternaly on construction and strenuously swifting among valleys and mountain slopes with only the last two klm in decent condition. In almost the remotest north end of the island is the beautiful village of Olympos having stolen the name but convincing none of the Gods to move there!...
The photo was taken as I was nearing to the place, on a 4wheel drive car and after a torrential rain...
