The Byzantine walls.
A visitor deciding to take a pleasant stroll along the imposing and aedequately preserved till today Byzantine walls of the city, in many parts and to his major surprise, will come across with contemporary constructions of abominable aesthetic taste "parasitizing"on them!!
In the photo a typical example of someone selecting to make his residence ...an extention to the wall.Even the ramparts serve for the TV antena.
And the question is what did he decide it for?
a) High culture and total submission to the charm of Byzantine history study?
b)Extreme artistic sensitivity as to think that design and aesthetic style of his residence match in full harmony with Byzantine architecture?
c) Full contempt and total indifference towards laws easily rejected and penalties that very seldom are imposed?
The choice of answer is yours... Thank you for your attention.

a fine docu shot ... much to be contemplated here, but I could image people being poor, needing a roof over their heads, having no thoughts about the history here, paying off some government officials and building their place - not a good situation, in fact sad to see !!!!!greetings, Adele

My choice is C Alexander. Only someone totally indifferent to the age and beauty of this place would be so crass as to build like this... and as for that antena...the mind boggles.An excellent docu shot
