This morning I decided that I really miss my animals in Eco Park. For various reasons, I have not been there in a while. So I got up very early to see if I can catch the early morning light.
what a wonderful picture of an early morning idyll! the lovely orange light creating such a pleasant warm glow on the standing zebra's back and ears makes me feel like an intruder butting in on an utterly peaceful scene! great how one of them is still resting in the grass, while the other one's watching over him from above, scanning the savanna (the brown grass blossoms are gorgeous!) for potential enemies and… photographers ; )). greetings, sabine. p.s.: for me it's a shot with a great "autumn in africa" feel to it – but maybe i'm just associating the colors and light with our european late summer/early autumn atmosphere…
Early bird catches the worm, early Deryck catches the zebras:)) Zebras are definitely my fav in your wildlife gallery. They always make me smile. Look at the one lying in the grass: doesn't she look like a punk rock subculture member with the strip of hair in the centre of her head - like a mohawk hairstyle?:)) Love the picture. Rgds, Viola
Hidden among the high grass, a glimpse on truely wild animals in all of their beauty.
The light, the focus progression, the chosen crop, the black frame make the photo complete, a whole.
And we are invited to observe without disturbing this little family.
A Pro certainly.
