Last weeks I was exploring several forests in the Belgian Ardennes.
This is the 16th. picture of a series illustrating the living forest.

I had a suddenly and unexpected encounter with this White Stork.
It happened at a shallow pond in a grand open place in the forest with enough room to fly for this large wading bird. I guess he was in search of some frogs for dinner.

Dutch name : Ooievaar
German name : Weissstorch
Latin name : Ciconia ciconia

Here, in Hungary we like these birds very much. There are a lot of chests on the countyside.

Ein besonders schönes Naturfoto, Mark, der nach Nahrung suchende Storch scheint dich noch nicht bemerkt zu haben!
Daß das Licht schon etwas hart war, läßt sich nicht ändern, evtl. könntest du - wenn du es nicht schon machst - im Raw-Format fotografieren, da hat man noch etwas Spielraum, die Belichtung beim "entwickeln" zu korrigieren.
