analog machine power in slow effective motion. what was once a futuristic and utopian sight – in the days of jules verne and h. g. wells –, is pure nostalgia now! great capture of both the dynamism and the cyclicality usually associated with the cogwheel/gearwheel! and what is man but a tiny cog in the out-of-control time machine that's life? ; )) ah, but then again, time is a man-made illusion, invented to prevent things from happening all at once… ; )) greetings, sabine. p.s.: love the "muddle" of numbers in the ellipse on the left – seconds, hours, days, eons ticking away… – one notices only at a second glance!
