Taking a break from the Road to Hana series, I wanted to share this image of one of most exotic flowers indigenous to Hawai'i, the Plumeria. Plumeria is a tree that grows all over the Hawai'ian Isles and its flowers come in a variety of beautiful, soft colors. They are also raised on farms for their flowers used for making LEIs (nacklaces of fresh, fragrant flowers worn by many).
