I really don't know about this .. I quickly decide no but when looking at it I see a very special feeling and quality about the image .. I think there was potential for a top class image here but the moment was just missed. Maybe becuase of DOF, maybe a slight change of composition, maybe slight lack of atmosphere .. a layer of eery mist for instance would have created some depth and mood making it a great image for me ... Because the backround is too busy, with many trees and the lightfall it makes the tree in the foreground almost dissolving.My eye keeps wandering without finding any rest.

The left and right sides of this composition are very similar. I might have been tempted to focus on one foreground tree rather than both of them. There are so many beautiful elements in this shot - perhaps too many. It could have been better, but overall, I like it. Prosebastian romero , 7.03.2008 at 19:44h
Turn it to B&W, change the contrast a little bit and voila! You have Ansel Adams here! Beautiful, really wonderful.Regards Sebastian
