Quite a stark effective image .. the grey dark sky and brighter subject is a great contrast .. personally I would have avoided the halo of lighter sky behind the mill as it tells me that the whole image was originally brighter and less dramatic. I would concentrate on carrying out some intricate PS work - retaining a natural but powerful brighter subject and uniformed dark background sky. The image is good and certainly has the potential to be more powerful whilst retaining a surreal but believable appearance. Regards, Paul.
Powerful image. I prefer the lighter sky behind the subject as it provides some depth and definition, yet remains balanced with the shadows. Like Paul, I like the colour as is.
Very good photo. Real excellent. Tecnically very well done, with an excellent visual impact.

@ Patrick .. I initially saw the halo as possibly an attempt to darken the background without working in detail, but after reading your comment I have looked again .. I still wonder how it would have looked the way I described it but I am sure your opinion seems to be quite correct imho - the halo seems to actually add some extra dimension to the image and having looked again it could be seen to have an almost ethereal look to it .. whichever way, I do like it ... Regards, Paul.
no.....the are to many mistakes....
like paul said....
the halo is very disturbing and could be treated
also the angle of that upshot is not well, just my opinion
and it would be better to crop it in that way to get the mill in the middle....
Agree with much as been said, would like to add that i am not so happy with the way it stand in the frame, somewhat different viewpoint would have made for more exitement.

The dark sky, hidden sun and angle of the picture make for a powerful image. Worthy of the Gallery I think.
