These little geckos are everywhere in our garden. We love watching them, but every now and then they become "catfood". This one, after having a close encounter with our cat, sat on the edge of the daylily long enough for me to get my camera and take a few shots, while making sure the cat has found enough "good food" in the kitchen
oh, this is just magic, deryck!! flower shots are always hard to comment on for me! i think it's because their beauty is always right there, out in the open – no need to explore further and dig it out ; )), so i'm always glad if someone succeeds in turning them into a whole universe!! and you (and the amazingly patient gecko!!) succeeded in doing just that for me! a really great capture! and a glimpse into the brightly colored everyday life of the lizardly little guy! love how there seems to be a content smile on his face – "today i'm in the mood for pictures, so shoot away, photographer!" – and his tail, hanging down into the abyss of the flowery inside even mirrors the shape of those streaks on the petals!! lg, sabine. p.s.: the flower is beautiful, too ; ))))!
I don't know what I like most here : the flower or the Gecko ?
Think I go for the small lizard, or..... no wait, maybe the flower with all its colours.
Allright, then I go for the 2 beauties !
Good one, Deryck.
A brilliant capture of this little gecko.. hope, your cat does not find him so far...
Wishing you a pleasant sunday and 3rd Advent too.
Regards, Ursula
Catfood!!! I never thought of that! Here cats just eat birds, slow worms, mice, voles and the occasional bat. (poor things) Marvellous colour of the lily, a reminder of summer days!
