Diese nordamerikanische Art wächst bei uns in einem naturbelassenen Park am Rande eines Sees und steht sehr feucht. Sie blüht im April und die sehr großen Pestwurz-ähnlichen Blätter erscheinen nach der Blüte und färben sich im Herbst intensiv rot.

Ich kann die Pflanze auch nicht als Einheimische erkennen. Wie hoch ist Blüte? Sie erinnert mich an die Steingartenstauden im Gartenbaumarkt.

Hallo Claire,

die Blütenstände sind ca 50 cm hoch und die nachfolgenden Blätter etwa 1m.
