with this shot i’m saying goodbye to fc for a while, if not forever. i learned a lot here and made some really good friends over the years. but it’s been taking up way too much of my time lately, so i’ve decided to give it a rest and move on. this page will lie idle for a while, so you can still look at the pictures and leave your comments if you want. i’ll make sure to look in on them from time to time. thank you so much for your continuous support!

Oh, what a pity to read you are leaving the fc, even if for a while...Sabine, your photos have been inspiring, as have been your comments, always friendly, thoughtful and written with your sense for words!
You are a good friend and I will miss you here, but I do understand your decision.
AND...friends will be friends no matter where or when!

I KNEW they existed.Great you finally captured one. Yet, what I find amazing is that those eyes don't really look mean, as one might have thought.... And what happened to his nose? Was it eaten up by giant alien ants - or does it have special ultra-sensitive sensors to detect all those horrible smells on earth?

Like Bryan Crute, I feel today is indeed a sad day, a VERY sad day knowing that you're leaving the FC. I think you are probably the best commentary writer here on the community, always seeing things on photos that many other didn't even noticed.
Take some time, take some rest and relax and maybe you will make sense again to come back here with 'recharged batteries'. I really hope so !

Dearest Sabine,I have done this a few times too and know how it feels..Hope you won't leave us for long..I will miss your stories,your bunny, your humor in everything you see,your special images and lovely comments ...You are one of the few people who really get into the image, not only see but feel more than what is there....
I wish you the best of everything Sabine..Take your time , rest and enjoy doing other things...
As I said before hope to see you again when you feel like it :-))

Hallo Sabine,das finde ich sehr, sehr traurig, dass du mehr oder weniger Abschied nehmen willst. Mir werden deine tollen Bilder und deine außerordentlichen Kommentare doch sehr fehlen. Ich glaube, in dieser Hinsicht kann dir niemand das Wasser reichen!
Solltest du dich dennoch von Zeit zu Zeit zur fc "verirren", würde mich das sehr freuen!

So just couldn't write more than I did.
I hate saying good-bye so much that i will always hope one day you will miss FC and decide to come back. Of course, I understand you may be tired. Diese Nicht-Hautkrankheit macht das Bild aber gerade so interessant, ich habe es sofort für ein Muster in Deinem hauchzarten Schal gehalten, Deine Augen schauen ein wenig wehmütig aus, oder täusche ich mich, werde ich von Deinem Abschied genarrt, der mich traurig macht? ... What ?!?! - You can't do THAT to us !!!!!!!Mir fehlen jetzt die (englischen) Worte um mein
Bedauern zu deinem Abschied auszudrücken.
Aber ich muss gestehen: oft genug hab ich mich gewundert woher du all die Zeit nimmst um solch passende und vielseitige Anmerkungen zu kreieren.
Mein Rat wäre, dass du einfach kürzer tritts und evtl.
nur noch max. 10 bis 20 Anmerkungen schreibst.
(natürlich inkl. zu meinen Beiträgen)

I'm sad to hear you are leaving us.... hopefully not for too long. But I have to say I do understand it. You must have been dedicating a huge amount of time in writing comments in the detail that you have. Nobody I know has your powers of observation and your ability to entertain so much with words. You are truly a once in a lifetime person.Thank you for your friendship and all those hundreds, no thousands, of comments you have left under my and your other buddies' pictures. I always tried to read what you had to say before I made a comment. Your comments were THAT special! Of course you were here for your photography and given your creative spirit, I believe your photography brought a wonderful dimension and style to FC.

Wie so Viele trifft mich Deine Ankündigung ebenfalls wie ein Schlag aus heiterem Himmel. Ich kann es einfach nicht glauben. Meinst Du es wirklich ernst?Wenn ich Dein Bild betrachte, scheint mir doch eine Menge Wehmut mit dieser Ankündigung verbunden zu sein. Du willst mit diesem transparenten Schal Abstand gewinnen. Ich meine, Du erreichst mit Deiner interessanten Gestaltung das Gegenteil, Du fesselst den Betrachter, der das Bild nie vergessen kann. Ich finde gerade dieses Bild als eine der besten Leistungen Deinerseits.
Solltest Du Deine Ankündigung wirklich ernst nehmen, was ich noch nicht glaube oder hoffe, dann wünsche ich Dir alles Liebe und Gute. Ich hoffe, daß trotzdem gelegentlich von Dir zu hören ist.

Du siehst an den ausführlichen AM, dass du uns allen wirklich fehlen wirst. Ich hoffe aber sehr, dass du bald wieder Kontakt zu uns aufnehmen wirst.
