Project: Lar da Criança Feliz
On 11th of March 2002 the ONG "Lar da Crianca Feliz" was founded by 20 activists in Luanda/Angola. It has actually the target to support abandoned and orphan children in the Angolean Province of Uige. See some pictures of the children and the project in Uige:

Main project targets are:
>to give them a home by building a kindergarten for about 100 babies
>and a place for about 400 older orphan children
>render health support having some first aid places available for treatment (TBC, Aids and Malaria)
>build a school house for education of the children
>and prepare a community kitchen with a baking room to regularily supply the food for the children
>create an initiave for art, music, and dancing
>get transport capacities for the project

Uige was a heavily effected war zone and therefore many of the children suffer traumas of the war. Equipped with very small financial fonds the ONG association members try locally to develope the project "Lar da crianca feliz - place for happy children. These guys need our help. Das ist wirklich wunderbar. Ich freue mich, dass es immer wieder Menschen gibt, welche etwas auf die Beine stellen, um den Armen zu helfen. Ich bin selber mit Afrika verbandelt, unterstütze meine Familie in Mali seit 5 1/2 Jahren und ein Patenkind in Tigre, Aethiopien, vorher hatte ich ein Patenkind in Tanzania.
Es gibts nichts Gutes, ausser man tut es. LG; Eva
