Cees: I think it's a great composition,as the flower in the bg left is like sunrays
and gives elegant grace to the whole.
In addition, I like the space left on the
right, as the butterfly is turned that way.
Like the "rule of thirds" no rule is to be
followed blindly, and sometimes things
do have a special cause to be as they are.

Sorry - but I have to agree with Luc and Robert about the sharpness, the centred position and the BG, whereas the BG would still work for me, would sharpness and composition being improved. Nice photo but no gallery yet.Vesela Maleeva, 22.09.2008 at 11:10h
@Luc, Rob, Ciorstain: What exactly is wrong with thesharpness, can you tell us all, maybe? How could
you call a detailed image "not sharp" at the same time?
You can't want a nature shot be oversharpened, do you now?
Really, you can't be referring to the DOF, can you??
I am starting to think criticism has all sorts
of functions in voting, besides being to the point!!

I also agree with Robert Riley, Luc Grollie and Ciorstain.The reason is, that the common blue isn't complete in the focus.
The sharpness of the butterfly isn't complanar.
The subject is too centical and the background is too turbulent.
