Summer Sails along the Hudson
The Hudson River provided all manner of marine motifs on this summer afternoon, from this viewpoint
along the broad promenade in Lower Manhattan, which looks across the river to Jersey City.
One could view the near-constant passage of motorized vessels churning the waters whether docking at the nearby
World Financial Center Ferry Terminal or passing midstream loaded with tourists taking in the mighty skyline of Lower Manhattan.
But really special were the quiet moments in between for taking in the gentle passage of sail craft.

Hi Steve,Long time no hear or see...have been rather busy lately and thus I have neglected the FC...
Love this shot and I do envy those sailors...what a joy it must be to be on the water and seeing this skyline... (deep sigh here....)

excellent light - very effective backlighting especially through the sails. The high contrast black and white emphasising the hints of sunlight is powerful
