This photograph was taken on the Farne islands off the Northumberland coast. Several Boat trips leave Seahouses harbour daily and land on the islands which are managed by the National Trust. You are allowed to walk around two of the islands on boardwalks sometimes centimeters from nesting terns, puffins or shags. I took this image as the bird hovered above my head intent on 'dive bombing' me, as I walked close to its nest.
Oh what a beautiful one!
I like those little birds as well. Most animals of this size flee when predators or humans come to close - but Arctic Terns start attacing and teach stupid tourists to stay on paths!
;-)
Welcome to Fotocommunity, Happy New Year and a lot of nice shots in future!
